11/18/2023 0 Comments Air link vs virtual desktop![]() ![]() Overall it's good to have both available as options. Another weird behavior I noticed in Air Link is that when I try to throw things it doesn't seem to register as a throw - instead the object just falls where I let go. I noticed this clicking in Beat Saber to select stuff or firing guns in Pavlov. Maybe it's just muscle memory but for some reason it feels like Link requires way more effort to get trigger pulls to register in a game. Overall, Air Link is easier to use out of the box.Ĭontroller tracking accuracy: Seems like a tie. Once it's enabled in experimental settings, it's just one tap in quick actions and connect to your PC. 120 Hz support is just gravy.Įase of use: Air Link. Physical motion is not affected - see Controller tracking accuracy section - meaning Beat Saber gameplay is not affected, but moving your character around in Pavlov is noticeably more clumsy vs. For whatever reason, there's always a delay moving your character around with the left joystick in Air Link whereas VD responds immediately. ![]() It's able to keep frame times more consistent somehow.Ĭontroller latency: Virtual Desktop. Picture smoothness (frame time consistency): Air Link. The high contrast profile in VD is too much and darkens the image significantly. Less compression artifacts at the same bitrate.
